In Worms are brought to the river for a good sleep, I tried to recreate a scene with live worms that unfolded in my house a few years ago. This time, the work goes beyond memory, addressing the need to accept the universal sense of fragility and monstrosity, as well as the processes of life, fertilisation, and death.

Oksana Pohrebennyk
Born in Ukraine, 1994. Works primarily with photo, video, and text, focusing on the relationships between communities and their surrounding contexts through a post-migratory lens.
Completed her studies in Contemporary and Performative Arts at the University of the Basque Country, Spain.
In recent years, her practice has moved toward non-human bodies, attending to processes of landscape transformation and the beings that inhabit them. Her practice is grounded in play as a method of research.
